Evidence suggests that eating ripe bananas is healthier.

"Ripe bananas may be less aesthetically pleasing, but there's a strong case for them actually being healthier than their green counterparts. When we consume a ripe banana, our bodies are better able to break down the sugars quickly, turning them into energy we can use to live our daily lives. They are sweeter and pass through our digestive tract quicker."

From an IBS perspective ripe banana have resistant starch that is converted to sugars during the ripening process. Ripe bananas can have more fructose than glucose making the a potential trigger. Semi-ripe bananas on the other hand provide the benefits of a resistant starch that acts like a soluble fiber.

My dietican has recommended removing/limiting bananas as they're high in sugar, starch and fibre.

The NHS recommended limiting resistance starches to combat wind and bloating. This includes green bananas.

I actually get weepy if I can't have ripe bananas. I am not sure why...it might be a vitamin thing. I eat organic bananas that are very ripe with black on them.

I have found organic "just ripe" bananas taste better than non organic "just ripe" bananas that have hardly any black on them. Organic ones seem to be sweeter. Just figure out if they're a trigger or not. I live on bananas because other fruit and veg I don't really tolerate at all.
