I'm very new to the IBS community, and I'm still getting my bearings on which foods may be safer than others. In regard to salad dressing, I know Heather says to pick one that's fat free, but aren't they all either dairy or oil-based? What dressings seem to work for you all?

I have done just fine with Kraft fat free Thousand Island dressing. Try it! It goes well on virtually anything, even my breakfast eggs!!

Originally diagnosed with IBS-C in Spring, 2008. During spring to fall of 2008, had at least 10 acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbs. IBS went into remission. IBS returned in late July 2013 after taking 2 oral contrasts for a CT scan for cancer follow up. Had more acupuncture with different practitioner in summer 2014, but received little benefit.

I allways make my own salad dressing. I love this one.. olive oil, balsamico vinager, mustard, plain sugar, peper and salt. I just make this by hand and don't know how much I use..
Also, if you try to make your own ranch dressing for example, you can use soy products instead of diary.
