Hi, I have 2 foods I am wondering about but not related to each other! I've heard good things about using almond flour for baking. I have even breaded chicken with it. However, I have read online that because it is high in omega-6 that it can be bad for ibs. Has anyone else heard that? is it true? and the other thing I am wondering about is if beets are a good food for those with ibs? Thanks!

I would think almond flour would be okay as it is gluten free if you have a problem with gluten. However, if you are using it to bake, only 20% should be the almond flour and the rest with another flour. As far as beets, I personally eat them all the time...hot, cold and pickled. They are a great root veggie. There are lots of nutrients in beets, good for the liver and blood purifier. If you are able to eat them pickled (fermented), a great source of natural probiotics.

That is good to know! thank you! If I am using 20% almond flour, what would be another good alternative to use in combination with the almond flour? any suggestions?
Thanks!

Thanks a LOT reindeer! I have just started eating these over the last couple of months and I LOVE them!
