Never heard of them. But, give your body the time to get used to first 1 thing, like food before you try something else. Don't stress your body out by overload it with everything. Well, that's ofcorse only my opinion.

Hi Sassie,
Thanks so much for the excellent advice.
I was on antibiotics 2 weeks ago for a urinary track infection and ended up with a yeast infection today.
I read that Enteric coated oregano oil capsules are good to treat candida and yeast and I know it is a herb that Heather recommends.
I started on probiotics 2 days ago. They are really giving me a lot of gas and bloating. Maybe I am doing too much too soon. What do you think? I was hoping to head off the yeast infection with the probiotics but didn't make it.
It is so frustrating I have 1 good day, then 1 bad day. I don't have the D, but the nausea and tiredness is exhausting on my bad days. On my good days I feel amazing. Very confusing. I don't know what I am doing different on the good days that I'm not doing on the bad days.

Sassie,I do really value your opinion. I know my biggest weakness is trying to do too much too soon and I appreciate your advice. You have far more experience with this than I do and I don't want to make mistakes and take on too much too soon for my body to handle so please let me know what you think.

Hi Cynthia,

I don't have much experience with antibiotic etc.. but I allways take a couple of weeks (say 2 weeks) to feel how my body reacts on 1 thing before I start something new. But with herbs.. I just should use the fresh or dried herbs more in my food. Or make (again) a herbal tea out of it.

But well, with infection I would always go to my doctor and follow up on what they say.

Do you sleep better?

Good luck!

Hi Sassie,
I am so glad you pointed out that I needed to concentrate on food first. I realized that I was almost putting that off.
Now I am prioritizing on food, listening to my body and trying my best to give it what it needs. Strange how disconnected we get from listening to our bodies.
I keep reminding myself that even though there are lots of pills etc. that say they do things, it is not the pill that has to do the work. It is the body that has to do the WORK. So from your post I remembered that more than anything my body needs the proper food and rest and hopefully if it gets that a lot of the other problems will be corrected.
Such as:
I am developing some muscle tone again. Before I went on Heather's program I was basically bones because I went down to 105 pounds.
Drinking the ginger and fennel tea and taking the probiotics most of the gas is gone. Huge benefit.
I am sleeping much better. I got my body adjusted to the muffins. After going for almost 1 year without being able to eat flour I can now
digest white rice flour muffins. They have made a huge difference. They give me the extra calories I need and really help me sleep.
I slice a muffin in thin slices and then slice either chicken or turkey breast. I eat the muffin and chicken at 10:30 pm. I make another set for during the night if I wake up. If I wake up,at 3:30 or 4 am, I have fiber ready on a table by my bed. I take the fibre and eat 1/2 the muffin and chicken. I go right back to sleep. If I wake up again at 5:30 or 6 am I take the fibre and muffin, and chicken again and don't have to get up until 7 or 7:30 am and most important, I have hardly any dizziness or nauseous. So far since the muffins I am rarely having the blood sugar drops. I still have to be very vigalent and make sure I eat every 2 to 2 1/2 hours but it is much better.
I am now working with the glycemic index to get more stability. I have to eat the high glycemic foods like rice, sweet potatoes, white potatoes to get the calories and energy. The high glycemic foods burn very fast (sometimes in 30 minutes), so I want to add some slower burning lower glycemic vegetables so they are burning after the high glycemic ones are done. That will help me to be able to eat a little less frequently and give more nutrition.
I plan to make some pumpkin soup today and add mostly soluble fiber vegetables and a few non soluble veggies. I will be very careful though and also puree everything. This is a big deal for me because I have been very scared of "wet" foods like soup triggering D. I know from one of my previous posts that is not true. I do know, the soup will be very good for my body and the nutrition so I want to give it to my body.
Since I can now digest white rice flour I will add some white rice noodles and drink lots of fibre.
So Sassie, you can see that your encouragement to listen to my body and feed it first has really helped me. I would not gone through the gas stage to be able to digest the different foods without your wisdom.
I truly appreciate your help.
I am also very grateful to Heather for giving us a trustworthy roadmap to restore our bodies to health.
I know this is long post but if there are other underweight people or people trying to add now foods this might help.
I hope you have wonderful day.

It looks like you are doing better. Hope you did fine with the pumpkin soup. Even if your body will not react right away how you want to, don't be scared and realise you have done better allready. Keep on going, but take it slow and give your body time to get used to the different kinda foods. If you notice you can have soup, you can get much more veggies then before. You also might put some rice in for example a (chinese)tomato soup, if you can handle tomatoes. Or some pasta in your chickensoup. Keep on trying and having fun with food again.

Hi Sassie,
My soup did not work very well. I put it onto the rice. It was really a puree and I added less than 1/2 cup. I think it triggered GERD and gas. It did not trigger D, but I had a very sleepless night. Very unpleasant and I feel just awful today. Tiredness, nausea and anxiety are back. Boohoo.
I think I will put it in the freezer until my body is stronger.

It is very defeating because the past 2 days were so very good.

Sorry to hear that. But don't give up. Take it slow and realise everyone will have some problems in the beginning. Every good day is 1 more then before.

Good luck.
