I read that Chia seeds are ok...but am I right in assuming that it is only when they are mixed with water?
Also, I have organic black and white mixed Chia seeds. Are they ok to use and how exactly do I use them?
Also are Banana Chips ok if organic and not dried with any nasty chemicals? And Dried bananas?

Banana chips - if fried be careful of the fat content. If just dehydrated banana chips then they should be safe as only the water has been removed.
Chai seed fiber content
Dietary fiber 56.5 g per 100 g of seeds
Soluble 14.1 g per 100 g of seeds
Therefore
Insoluble fiber 42.4 g per 100 gram seeds
When mixed with water the seeds produces a gel or functional fiber that acts like a soluble fiber.
Heather says:
"Chia seeds have about 50/50 soluble/insoluble fiber , so be cautious with them. Treat them like any other insoluble fiber food and follow the guidelines - most importantly, have them with a soluble fiber base."

I use Chia seeds in my smoothies. I grind them along with my flax seeds in a seed grinder. But sometimes I make the gel by mixing them with water. They are great in smoothies.
I have never eaten banana chips. So, I don't know. I just put the whole banana in my smoothie.
