I'm wondering if yeast flakes, for example, Marigold http://www.marigoldhealthfoods.com/ would be safe for a FODMAP/EFI diet? The fibre component is high; 20g/100g and I don't know the ratio of SF:IF.

Like oatmeal yeast contains a consider amount of beta-glucan which is functional fiber that acts like a soluble fiber. I cannot find any information on the insoluble fiber content. How are you going to use the yeast flakes? As a supplement?

Hi Syl,

Thanks for your replies. I use the yeast as a supplement; added to juice/soups and sprinkled onto food or in baking. Much like a soluble fibre supplement.
