Hi. A new user to the site. I am trying to make the necessary dietary changes for my IBS. I am confused at times over different things written on the net related to yogurt and whether it's good for the gut. Is yogurt ok and does anyone have any experience with Activia? Thanks.

On this diet, yogurt is not considered okay, including activia. If you know how to do a search (which comes in handy on this board) you will find many posts on activia. They do make yogurts of out almond milk, rice, or soy (if you can handle soy...I can't as it gives me gas). I like almond yogurt best.

I hope you find relief. Good luck.

I was able to eat Greek Yogurt. I think it depends on the person, because there are some yogurts that I found I could actually eat.

Generally speaking Greek yogurt is a high fat yogurt. And dairy products of any kind can be an IBS trigger for some people. Caution!

You can get nonfat lowfat greek yogurt. Greek yogurt has less lactose than normal yogurt. I think if it works for you, you are lucky and you should enjoy your yogurt. I'm jealous.
