FODMAPs diet and almond milk (containing gums)

My understanding is that almond milk is a FODMAPs (and EFI) friendly food. However, I noticed that all the brands of almond milk I buy contain various gums (e.g., xanthan gum, guar gum, etc.). I read somewhere that gums like this can be problematic for people following the FODMAPs diet.

Any comments about whether these gums are EFI/FODMAPs safe?

Gums do not contain FODMAPs. However, some gums can be fermented quickly so they can be a problem for some people. Generally speaking the small amount of gums used in things like almond milk to thicken them are not a problem for most people.

I follow FODMAP and use almond milk daily with no problems. I also consume a lot of gluten free products (to avoid wheat) many of which contain xanthan gum and that doesn't seem to be an issue for me either.
