How does someone give up all grains and have stable ibs? Normal bm is good.

Thanks

The paleo diet is not an IBS friendly diet. The NHS considers to be fad diet with no particular advantage except perhaps for weight loss.

I have given up all whole grains, I am stable and I have normal BMs. Whole grains are not necessary to have good BM. Whole grains can cause colon spasms producing D or C. Removing whole grains can make a big difference particularly if you have IBS-D.

Everyone is radically different but from what I can tell paleo is really opposite then the eating for ibs diet, for me the only way I can eat is basing each meal off of bread or rice and building from there, I don't eat whole grains, but I do rice and wheat and potatoes I need that as a base before I add any so called ancestral foods like veggies, fruit or animal proteins, paleo is almost worse then low carb in some ways, some folks feel better without wheat and I can understand that, bit to me nothing soothes my tum on a rough day like cream of rice cereal and that is not on a paleo list for sure, I personally believe that ibs diet is very inclusive of healthy foods, if you can work your way up to the full extant of it, but it's the soluable fiber base that makes it possible

There is no reason to remove all grains from your diet. BUt if you did it and you didn't have IBS it likely would not effect your BM much.

It would be helpful if you would completely explain your posted questions. Thanks
