Interestingly, it is only since 1999 that the Mayo Clinic has found that fungus is the likely culprit of chronic sinusitis. For many years previous, and still TODAY, doctors prescribed antibiotics, which would be useless, and maybe more harmful, for such diagnoses. And, don't forget,at one time, 4 out of 5 doctors who smoked, smoked Camels. How times have changed! Take control of your own health. If you experiment with a diet, or even supplements that make you feel better, don't wait for a study or doctor to give you their blessing. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to your health. If so, there would only be one drug needed for cholesterol, colitis, etc. As an aside, my gastrointestinal health improved 100% after following an antifungal diet. However,no guarantees for anyone. If you try something and it doesn't work for you, don't give up trying to find the answer.

Touche! That is what I have been saying all along. Too much is put into the Mayo Clinic or other institution, or this doc or that doc, or this study or that study. I use myself as my experiement and share what I have learned with others here. I hate when any new idea is poo-pooed because it does not fit the latest data, study, or professional instituiton or doctor.

Not all chronic sinusitis is due to fungal infections.

Mayo Clinic and Chronic Sinusitis

Causes

"These infections can be viral, bacterial or fungal in nature"

Treatment

"Antibiotics are sometimes necessary for sinusitis if you have a bacterial infection. However, chronic sinusitis is usually caused by something other than bacteria, so antibiotics usually won't help."

Most people don't get medical advise from cigarette advertisements.

Thank you for your insightful, well researched and important content posts. Many of the posts in this chain are meaningless, content free ramblings just giving opinions with nothing but unsubstantiated compliments back and forth between members - No help at all.

Cheers
