Hi take acacia fiber morning and night but during the day I eat an Atkins bar for lunch which has 9 grams of fiber. And no it doesn't bother my gut.
I am having some jaw problems now and am having a hard time chewing the bars. Since I am already taking 9 grams of fiber can I just switch to the acacia fiber to replace what I was taking?
Thanks

My two cents: the fiber in acacia is all SF, whereas the bars I'm guessing are a combo of IF and SF, so I'm guessing it's not a straight, easy "switch".
One more cent: I know we all all on our own path to figure out how best to eat to promote health and minimize symptoms, but I looked at the ingredients for the Atkins "Advantage" bars, and the long list of additives, chemicals and crap in those bars - I wouldn't think they'd be the best thing for someone with IBS.

Thanks Renee. I wasn't sure about the fiber cross over. As for the crap content. I am almost completely housebound and spend most of the day in bed. That is the only thing I can manage to eat in the middle of the day so I'll deal with it and enjoy every crappy delicious bite.
