and say that living this way, with IBS or motility disorder or functional GI disorder, or whatever they want to call it is so excruciatingly mentally painful some days- so many days. It brings me to my knees. I am in awe that I have lived this way for so many years and will live this way until I die. I miss out on so much of life. No one gets it.

Also, I try to tell my self that the research on IBS seems to be expanding exponentially, so there is every chance a more effective treatment or even a cure will be discovered relatively soon. Even if something came out that made your symptoms 20% better, that would be a step up, right?

Suffocating bloat- it's perpetual and has been for the past 16 years. It's mindnumbing, mindboggling,excruciating, feels like my skin will tear open. Embarrasing, humiliating at how huge I get. It's by far the most devastating symptom. Can't breath right from the pressure on my diaphragm, can't sleep well, creates a level of distress that is to the moon. Can' believe this is forever. Please with all due respect, dont' ask if i have tried. I have tried- it all, over and over again. Just so sad today.
