Sometimes I have long, lingering pains (usually minor) that someimes last a almost a whole day. I'm gonna try to make this quick, has anybody ever heard of pains like this? Thanks!

Long lasting pain is not unusually. Sometimes during a serious flare-up I find it can last for days although it rarely keeps me awake during the night. However, to be on the safe side you really need to see a doctor since there are many other disorders that can mimick IBS symtpoms and cause pain.
