It was normal yea! It has the particulars but I don't know what the numbers mean. I was pretty sure it would be negative since I didn't have problems from the test and drinking straight fructose.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Good for you! Now you can enjoy those juicy pears and apples that are off limits for me.

syl, i've been reviewing and trying to understand the fodmap diet and wonder...since there are several "categories" that cause problems - like fructose or Galactans etc..how would i know if it's the fructose in apples or the other ingredient that causes me trouble? or does it even matter??..i am assuming it's just best to avoid as much as possible the foods in each category. But is it possible that some of the foods in each category may not actually cause me pain/symptoms? hope this makes sense...thanks...
