Hi. I am new here. I also am just trying to figure out if I have IBS and am trying the whole diet thing to see if it helps me feel better. I was just wondering, I read on another website that yeast and yeast breads are bad because they can cause gas. Has anyone found this to be true?
Thanks!

Welcome to the board,

Yeast is killed when bread is baked. The dead yeast cells are digested like any other protein source. It is very unlikely to cause gas.

There is a lot of misinformation concerning yeast on the Internet.

Have you seen a GP or GI doc? It isn't a particular good idea to self-diagnosis IBS because there can be other disorders presenting similar symptoms.
