Hi...Last 3 days have taken PB2 probiotic(14 billion)......feeling strange on it....headache, more acutely aware of smells, more anxious......lots of my IBS triggers my panic disorder and thus its been feeling worse with this pill.....once my colon is settled my anxiety seems to settle.......should i continue taking this until whatever side effects dissipate? I hear probiotics are not always safe?

What is the exact name of the probiotic or the name of the manufacturer? It would be helpful if you have a link to an Internet source of information about the probiotic please provide it so we can look at the ingredients.

Are you taking the regular or vegetarian version? The regular version contains inulin which is known to be a trigger for many individuals with IBS.

Very few probiotics have been tested for their effectiveness for managing IBS symptoms. Three that have been tested are Align, VSL#3 and Digestive Advantage. Generally speaking Lactobacillus probiotics are not effective while some Bifidiobacterium probiotics are effective. It best to check the ingredients and to stay away from probiotics that contain inulin and FOS which are known to be problematic.

omega 3 has never constipated me, it's actually helped get things moving (mostly but never exacerbated the C ). (and does lift the mood as well)

Omega 3 does not constipate me at all, nor does it make my D any worse. IT very well could be just your sensitivity. Just another case of us all being soooo different!

They give me bowel spasms. The concentrated oil is a trigger for me.
