This was the first place I could think of to post this. I had the strangest BM today and wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen.

WARNING! GRAPHIC BM TALK FOLLOWS!

Here goes... I had a two-toned BM today! Here's what I mean. The part that came out first was medium/dark brown and looked like little hard stools together, and then the second half was light brown and smooth. It looked like someone had stuck two different BMs together.

What the heck? Is this a result of peristalsis gone mad?

Note: I didn't have an attack when this happened, but I might have had one this morning, and then this was the result.

Thanks for reading. Only here can we share this!

Happens to me all the time!
Although formed BM's are not something I am familiar with....one movement will start with what I lovingly refer to as IBS-M (mush) and end with watery D!!
Colour changing from light brown to yellow as the movement proceeds...lol.

Who woulda thunk I would be on the WWW sharing these details????

not a novel experience for me either. I'd have thought that's what you call IBS-A?

The first part that was darker and clumped together was probably just older stool that was sitting in the intestines for a few days and finally came out! I've had that before.
