Bentyl and upper endoscopy

So, after almost 30 years of fighting whatever this is, I went to the GI doc. Told him I have celiac in my family so i'm scheduled for an upper endoscopy next month. Sorta nervous about it, has anyone had one?
Until then he put me on bentyl. Anyone had any luck with it?

Had both endoscopy and colonoscopy at same time. Other than my general anxiety and fears, it was actually a piece of cake. With an endoscopy you don't have to drink all that junk. They probably will have you on a clear diet, but you go in, they give you something to go to "la la land" and the next thing you know they are waking you up.
Trust me, I am the original "chicken little" when it comes to procedures and hospitals!  Am facing the same thing in a few weeks.

Had my upper endoscopy this morning. All I remember is "You're going to feel sleepy...." then I woke up in the recovery room. He said he can tell I have acid reflux but have to wait for the labs to come back on whether I have Celiac or not. The Bentyl has been changing my bowel habits, too soon to tell yet though.
