Solid chocolate is a trigger because of the high fat, caffeine and dairy content. Cocoa powder on the other hand is caffeine free, low in fat and as far as I know dairy free. I put coco powder in my smoothies as the time without any consequences.

The process to make cocoa takes all the bad stuff out. It is great since it is free of guilt and makes stuff very yummy. I believe the organic chocolate syrup is made with cocoa and is wonderful with a milk sub, frozen banana and blended into a maltlike dessert.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
