It uses the following enzymes:
Pancreatin - breaks down proteins
Protease - also breaks down proteins
Lipase - Breaks down fats
Amylase - Breaks down carbs
Amyloglucoside - breaks down carbs
Cellulase - breaks down fiber
Hemicellulase - breaks down fiber
Lactase - breaks down milk sugar

I have a problem with high protein, high fat or high carb meals. They have worked well for me and I have tried others and came back to these. I have recommended them to friends that also have problems and they call them their wonder pill for eating especially those who suffer from GERD. Hope this answers your questions.

So if Beano works...this might work even better?

It does for me but some others may have tried this and can give you other opinions.

Somebody else I spoke to told me instead of using Source Naturals Essential Enzymes they use:

Renew Life Parazyme

This DOES NOT contain pancreatin...instead it has others http://www.renewlife.com/parazyme.html

I guess my question...which is the better one to try?

The pancreatin Source Naturals (which has other enzymes) or the Parazyme...and why?

I have never tried the Renew Life Parazyme. I have had great success with the Source Naturals and I take a separate probiotic the 299V from Jarrow. This works for me after a lot of trial and error with ezymes and different probiotics. I am currently using Vitamin C, B6 and Vitamin E supplements along with the enzymes and probiotic. It is the best I have felt in a very long time. I even went away this weekend, I was careful with what I ate and never had any pains even when I was worried about some of the things I did eat. Everyone is different and this is what works for me for now anyway. I following all of this about 6 weeks ago and the improvement is great.
