Those of you who drink soy milk or eat soy yogurt, did you have to build up a tolerance to soy gradually? I don't think I can even do a whole soy yogurt! Does it help to take GasStop with it?

Thanks

Soy is a problem for many of us. Some people claim they can slowly increase tolerance by eating small amounts at a time. This doesn't work for me. Not sure if GasStop will be very effective but you might try taking some Beano before eating soy.

I definitely have built up a tolerance for soy products, however there are some that are better than others. Soy milk is so heavy in the gut that I only use it in things. Soy cheese, ice cream and sour cream are just fine. I am fine with tofu thank God. Edamame is ok in small amounts.

I haven't figured that out yet. I used to think it was just fine and it was the protein powder that made me poopy. Now I am thinking it is the yogurt since I have left out the protein powder. Hope to know soon.

Hi there. I drink a soy milk latte every morning and have never had any problems. I use about 1 cup soy milk, 2 Tbsp. honey, 3/4 cup water and 1 big shot of espresso (or you could use filter coffee), sprinkled with cinnamon and LOVE it.
I have the recipe (and others) on my blog at http://www.eatandbe.com.
I am also able to tolerate soy cheddar cheese with bread (soluble fiber!) without any problems.
cheers,
