I haven't posted here in a while, but I hope someone can help me out. I have been mostly stable for the last year or so, but for the last week, I have had really horrible pain all throughout my abdomen accompanied by bloating. It feels like gas pain or pain from C, but I'm having regular BMs, which are usually normal looking but sometimes hard/lumpy.

The pain comes and goes. It is always better in the morning and worse at night. It seems to get worse about an hour or so after eating, and doesn't always get better after a BM. I have had some flare-ups like this before, but they've never lasted more than a day or two. I don't know what this is or how to fix it! When the pain is at it's peak, it's really unbearable. Any words of advice would be appreciated!!

Sorry to hear that.
Are you having stinky gas too? and do you have what I call a poop deficit? Sometimes I haven't gone as much as I should be, poop deficit, and I will get some very painful days. I even went to the ER once and they said I was constipated. I said I was going but turns out I had too much leftover. Now if I get worse like that I up the fiber and water and maybe take a stool softener or magnesium product once. Your hard/lumpy poo maybe isn't getting enough out.

No stinky gas, really. Funny, I was actually thinking that it could be a "poop deficit," though I hadn't thought of that creative term! I guess I just didn't think I could be in this much pain unless I had been constipated for days. I hope that is all it is. I'm a little afraid to take a stool softener because I have a long commute (1.75 hrs). I am off Wednesday, though, so maybe I'll try that when I get home tomorrow. Thanks!

I think "poop deficit" causes me pain sometimes too.
Until I get caught up, I find fennel caps and peppermint help with the pain sometimes.
