I was eating 3-4 a week for the past 2 years and had to stop cause i developed gastritis. i havent had one in a few months and had half yesterday and it triggered severe indigestion. does this mean i have to scratch avocados off my list permanently? did i develop an allergy or could the high fat content be causing an overproduction of bile, irritating the gastritis?
Were some of these docs where NDs? It is best to see a GP or GI doc for serious issues like gastritis. It might be time to go back to the GP or GI doc and ask for more advice.

I have gastritis and didn't even know it until I had my endoscopy done and so I asked my doc what it was from and he said could be from acid. To me thats odd only because I don't have issues with heartburn or acid reflux at all ever and he just said its nothing to worry about. What do any of you think. Is it something I need to just keep an eye on?
i just found out 2 day i have mild gastritis and they took biopsy..i have no acid reflux or indigestion either...i read it isn't always acid stomach but sometimes other reasons we get this...i will find out when i have my follow up..
