I've been taking 5mg of Lomotil daily for the past couple weeks. It works mildly at best and was thinking about trying Librax. Has anyone else been down this road before?

i am taking librax and it has helped my d alot. i have not been on lomotil. i sometimes still have urgency though...i have used immodium at times when i'm nervous about going out to eat. i feel like the acacia and the librax have really helped me...i even cut back to 3 a day instead of 4 b/c they seemed to cause slight constipation..which i was happy about vs D..

When you say 3 a day, do you mean the Librax (and not the acacia)? If so, what is the dosage of each Librax you're taking? I take fiber also (psyllium) which I really feel helps a lot (i.e. stool consistency and frequency of BM's in a day) just not the urgency. So, I'm wondering and hoping that the Librax will be more effective in controlling the urgency.

I take 2 lomotil in the morning and it helps me alot. I have tried the Librax for about a week or so but it gave me stomach aches and headaches so I've just stuck with the lomotil. I have heard of it helping alot of people though so maybe and hopefully it will work for you.
