what do you mean ate your tea? After you cook your vegtables why don't you try and put them in a blender, may not taste as good, but maybe it would be easier on you.

why don't yout try a mashed potato with skineless boneless chicken then cook and puree some vegtables and mix that into the potato?

you should only drink naturally caffeine free teas, decaf. is bad (heather says this somewhere) why don't you try a cinnamon tea or cammomile tea? have you heard of passion flower? maybe try passion flower extract with hawthorn berry "When combined with hawthorn berries, passionflower is effective in reducing stress-related digestive spasms such as gastritis and colitis"

Julie, Chamomile tea is very soothing to the body/soul. You should go online and read about the history. Drink several cups each day and it will help to calm you and make you feel better.

Thank goodness I have been in a stable zone just over a month, but when I do have an attack, I can only drink water, eat plain bread, crackers or potatoes and maybe have some butternut squash soup (organic). I also make the apple pumpkin bread (I think thas what it is) out of Heather's IBS book. Usually if I am really bad I don't like to do too much exercise, but I do try to get up and walk around fairly often to keep my body moving. I sure hope you feel better soon. Maybe its not the food but maybe the stress of the season deciding to peek its ugly head out today.

When all else fails.....have tea.

Where you been? Did you try the Flowers? Yep, the season is most stressful.

No, I am sure that certain items you eat affect that, but I had never heard of Chamomile tea doing that.

I agree that the holiday season is stressful for most everyone, and for whatever reason particularly women. I myself like fresh ginger tea when I'm feeling a cold coming on or more stressed. Sometimes I'm out of fresh ginger!

However, about a year ago when I had some money, I purchased from nutsonline.com some 'crystalized ginger'. I keep this in a glass jar in my kitchen cabinet. When I want some hot ginger tea, I just take a piece or two of this and add bottled water to a mug and heat in the microwave.

Talk about opening up your sinuses and calming your lungs... this is it! You don't need to add any sugar or honey, given crystalized ginger is already sweet. It's safe!

you can buy fresh ginger root at wal mart. I cook with it,boil some water then let peel a chunk and let it sit in there for 15mins.
