I've been advised to stop eating Oat Bran.

I have for years been having as my breakfast:

-A spoonful of Oat Bran mixed with a bowl of Natural Applesauce

Personally I hate this breakfast...it gets old...it tastes bland.
However, for my symptoms, C and B, it seemed to help generate bigger, more often stool movements.

The problem, besides nasty taste, was that it would make me hungry about an hour later and at times it could make me feel bloated.

Since I tried replacing this with a healthy cereal, the problem has been I feel without the applesauce and fiber, it makes it harder to pass as big a stool movement.

I am curious as to what else I can to have to start my day that will not irriate IBS as Oat Bran has been suggested...and won
taste so nasty and make me hungry in an hour.

I think the applesauce did this, since usually applesauce is an appetizer for just that reason.

Thanks!

I eat rolled oatmeal every day with blueberries and rice milk. I believe oatmeal is less irritating than oat bran.

Four tablespoons of acacia fiber a day keep my stools bulky and moving really well.

To keep you going in the morning you need more food than what you've been eating - you need protein. Try scrambled egg whites or maybe a piece of sourdough toast with almond butter along with your cereal in the morning.
