I also choose the naturopathic route. I already use the Bach Flowers and love them. What does the rhodiola, chamomile oil in epsom salts, and warm castor oil packs do for you? Are these for relaxation and stress reduction?

Thanks so much!

I have never tried lavender tea...where do you find this and does it taste good?

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

I've actually recently noticed this as well.

I've been going through some rough times emotionally, and the stability of my IBS rapidly deteriorated. I'm not sure what to do other than ride out the storm and know that soon enough it should get better

Yes, Minnie... I would totally agree. Those of us who garden and love the outdoors seemingly are 'solar energized' and we miss our sunshine (vitamin D) during the short and dark days of winter. Vitamin D helps fight SAD (Seasonal Adjustment Disorder).

Spring will come again!

Hi Gerikat,
I am having problems logging into that Ning site - I will email you to explain. But I am working on it!

Re: rhodiola, two different naturopaths have prescribed it for me. Here is the one I'm taking - from the description, sounds pretty good!

I went through a very bad patch in the past couple of months that I think I'm finally getting out of. The fact that my IBS was getting worse, not better, caused a lot of fear/anxiety/panic/desperation - which I'm sure just made the IBS worse. I feel I'm finally over the worst of it, and while I can't pin down exactly what allowed me to move past it, maybe this stuff shelped. Still in pain but no longer in a panic about it.

I also take a Vit D supplement - and I keep reading articles saying it helps ward off H1N1. Nice!

Check with Frygirl on the site. She is the moderator. I haven't had a chance to go there yet, but plan on trying next week some time.

Thanks for the tips and I will check the link out. By the way, let me know how you feel on the rhodiola.
