Dannon denied wrongdoing and said it was agreeing to settle only to "avoid the uncertainty and expense of further litigation." The company has likely made more than $35 million on the sale of the product than it is going to cost them in the settlement. The phrase promotes regularity really grates. It's so indicative of our unwillingness to talk about diarrhea or constipation. A attitude that does way more harm than good. I'm not impressed by any product that over states it benefits but I do hear that activia can help IBS.
