This bears checking into. Since we use teas for many other ills, including IBS, why not reflux. I am going to do some more research on this one.

also: Persimmon tea may ease acid reflux
(The People's Pharmacy) UPDATED 2009-08-10
According to a reader of The People's Pharmacy, persimmon tea has essentially cured her husband's chronic acid reflux. Joe and Terry Graedon respond with information on other readers who have sworn by the cure, and they offer a recipe for persimmon tea that can be made with readily-available items" http://www.healthcentral.com/acid-reflux/news-295611-98.html

after you make the tea recipe let me know how it was..I won't be buying anything online until I get paid in another 2 weeks.

These do look good. I will try this and let you know. I had such a bad case of heartburn last night, I could have used it.

ok will you make the same recipe that was given in link in my first post it was:

Combine 2 quarts of water, ½ cup of thinly sliced fresh ginger and 3 cinnamon sticks. Simmer for ½ hour. Strain the liquid and stir in 1 and ½ cup sugar and 1 cup of sliced dried persimmons. Keep refrigerated.

How would you go about straining all of that? would you put some kind of strainer over a pitcher or wat? what's the best way to store in the fridge becaue I don't think I have any container to hold liquids, I would need something small. 2 quarts sounds like alot..and I'd only drink a small cup to see what it did to me.

Yeah, 2 quarts is a bit much, especially when you don't know if it will work or that you can even stomach the taste.
Maybe half the recipe at first until you know.

Just a cheap pitcher would be fine. Or you can get those big plastic jugs with lids. You can get those at the dollar store. I would just pour it through a wire mesh strainer...you know the hand held kind.
