Diverticulosis and IBS

Just curious........
I was just diagnosed with diverticulosis and IBS....is there anyone else who has this dual diagnosis, I am at a loss in how to manage both..

I to have ibs-d and diverticulosis and actually the only thing my first stomach doctor said was to up my fiber. I have never had an attack so to speak with this so really other then the fiber I haven't had an issue with it or been told to do anything else. If you find out what we should do please let me know. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

It is quite common to have both diverticulosis and IBS.

Comforting to know that I am not the only one with this particular issue. Other than meds for pain,upping the fiber was the recommendation from my GI doc. I believe that I will find the answer to get some stability in my life.

l also have same, started out with IBS long before diverticulosis. Diet is similar anyway.
