Lemon problems?

Does anyone have trouble with lemons? I had one bite of lemon sorbet and was woken up in the middle of the night with severe pain and went to the bathroom twice. I'm not sure it was the lemons, that seems a little quick to hit me but now I'm hesitant to try again. I'm really salivating over Heather's lemon bread though.

Did the sorbet by chance contain high fructose corn syrup? Some sorbets do. High fructose corn syrup may cause the problems you experienced. Artificial sweetners such as sorbitol and artificial flavorings can be a problem too.

I do have problems with lemons and other acidic foods. I made Heather's lemon bread recipe from her book. Delicious, but I had horrible pain after I ate it.
