unless they are thin skinned young potatoes- generally not.

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

I have discovered that I absolutely cannot have Smart Balance Light. No way, no how, huh-uh.

I put a bit of it on some fresh white bread, just ONE small slice, and the next day my gut told me in no uncertain terms that it did NOT appreciate that one bit. A few days later, I tried just a small bit on a baked potato...I ONLY ate a baked potato, no skin, and my other meals that day were tried and safe foods. Half an hour later my gastrocolic reflex kicked in and yep, ended up in the bathroom again...and then the next day, ugh.

So until further notice, I guess I can't eat SBL, or anything else with similar ingredients (such as fakie sour cream).

Oh well, I'm getting used to plain baked potatoes.
