I love strawberries - they look and smell gorgeous! However, I blended some up today and mixed them with white rice and a bit of rice milk as a snack, but i got cramps afterwards. Would this be from eating too much of the blended strawberries? I guess it would be a lot of fructose as well as the IF. I did also have a bit of tahini (blended sesame seeds, high fat but it was just a teaspoon or so.

Strawberries and most berries are low in excess fructose. The seeds from most berries give me problems. I use a mixture of berries which I warm and strain to remove the seeds leaving concentrated berry juice. I use the juice to make oatmeal, sauces and beverages. It is high in vitamins and antioxidants and freezes very well. It would probably be great in a smoothie too

Oo great idea Syl! Thanks for the quick reply. I will try making that - how long do you warm them for?

I warm them in 2-3 tablespoons of water just enough so I can mash them easily with a potato masher. I let them cool a bit and strain with a jelly bag.
