Day 11 of IBS diagnosis - Following Heather's books -Doing OK. One question tho- Is there a substitution(s) for some foods I really miss ie. pickles, olives, capers? I grew up on these as condiments with every meal and really miss them.

None of these foods are forbidden. Pickles and capers are simply Insoluble Fiber. Olives are Insoluble Fiber and also high in fat.

So treat them like any other IF - try a little at a time and after laying down a good Soluble Fiber base - and be particularly careful about quantities with the high-fat olives.

HTH.
