What's in your Easter basket?

As I have been filling Easter baskets for my family and friends, I have found the craving for chocolate and the like to be strongly overwhelming. What is safe IBS candy or chocolate? Are gummy things okay? I know they are not great for my weight but I need something to fill the void so that I dont go overboard. Can anyone out there help my sweet tooth?

I don't know of any chocolate candy that you can buy that is IBS safe. I do know there are tons of recipes on here that are pretty simple that have cocoa in them so that would help the sweet tooth. I know it does mine.

I am sure everyone is different... but coming from my standpoint, I can tolerate most jelly beans-like the Starburst ones. I also can do most gummy things- watch out though for gummy candies- like gummy worms, some have sorbitol in them. I also can do candy like lemonheads, or dots, or twizzlers and sourpatch kids. Typically for me if the main ingredient is sugar I am ok but I dont seem to have an issue with sugar or the fructose sensitivity that some do. Plus artificial coloring/flavor doesnt really bother me, which it might for some. If I indulge on candy, I try to do it after a dinner with plenty of soluble fiber. Last year when I was first diagnosed- my mom got me an Easter basket filled with Luna Bars

Peeps!!!! you know those marshmallow birdies and/or rabbits that are sugar coated in pretty yellows, blues, and pinks! They are awesome! I eat them like they are going out of style and never have any problems with them. They are pretty much all natural. I think just mainly sugar! Hope that helps! I have a big sweet tooth too. I enjoy the Green & Black's 85% dark chocolate. They are all separately wrapped, and so good!! I can handle the dark chocolate better than milk chocolate!
