Acacia dosing question

Hi - I haven't posted here in ages, but am in need of some advice regarding Acacia dosing.

My IBS has been out of control for about the past year, ever since I discontinued antidepressants it seems. I was put on Lotronex which caused me painful C. I was subsequently dx'd with pelvic floor dyssenergia, for which I am receiving physical therapy.

So far, while the volume of my stools is increasing as a result of the therapy, the consistency, frequency and urgency is not changing. Still lots of urgent, liquidy, mushy D.

My doctor wants me to try fiber again. The last two times I tried it, I know I did not give it an honest effort. I took it a few days, had D, blamed it on the fiber and tossed it.

Well, now I'm on the fiber wagon again. Started with Citrucel but didn't like the taste. I got Heather's acacia fiber and began last week with 1/2 tsp at night. The D is not resolving, but I am going to stick with it this time. I plan to increase this weekend to 1/2 tsp 2x daily.

My question is: if I am taking 1/2 tsp mixed into liquid at night, is it too much to also add it into baked goods, such as into Heather's breads or soups as she sometimes suggets? So, I would be taking 1/2 tsp at night plus whatever amount (1 tbsp) I added to bread.

Thanks!
