Getting the insoluable fiber in your diet.

I have been having trouble getting insoluable fiber in my diet. This may be some of my big C problem. I use to eat carrot sticks, apples, celery, cucumbers etc. all the time as a healthy snack but now I don't because it would be eating insoluable fiber on an empty stomach. How do you best fit this in. I know my body needs the good nutrition that these fruits and veggies have to offer, plus I am so C all the time that my body really isn't getting fiber to keep me regulated. Should I be having some insoluable fiber with every meal? Any suggestions!

Carrots and PEELED apples are SF. But yes, you do need IF. You could make a fruit smoothie and add some acacia powder for your SF. Or put fruit in your oatmeal (which is both SF/IF). Beans are a combination of SF/IF.

I eat a ton of fruits/veggies every day, but I either include a little pasta, rice or potato along with them or right before. You could also eat a piece of white bread before fruits or veggies for your SF cushion. A flour tortilla is SF....you could make a wrap and fill it with different kinds of cooked veggies.

Keep drinking lots of water!!!!

Hey Sharon, Thanks for the help here! I will try to do as you suggested. Is the Acacia powder the same as Benefiber? I have a bunch of Benefiber and didn't want to get something else that was going to do the same thing. I will do as you suggested and try to add more fruits and veggies.

Thanks!
