Pages: 1 question about ibs and laxatives..       #330079 - 05/21/08 06:49 PM Edit Reply Quote cdc6800 Reged: 02/27/08 Posts: 50 Loc: biloxi,ms I am having laproscopic surgery tomorrow and my doctor told me to I have to drink half of a bottle of citroma (liquid laxative) @5 and the other half @7, and also take a enema. It is supposed to be making me go to the bathroom like crazy, But it hasn't phased me, My tummy feels a little icky and I feel nauseated. Why isn't this working for me? Is it my IBS? On the bottle it says that if I fail to have a bowel movement afterwards then it could result in a more serious condition! Was could this mean????? Often those medications won't work properly unless you're fully hydrated. Drink lots and lots of water and they "should" work. If not, I'd call your doc. -------------------- IBS-D, Acid Reflux, ???
