Has anyone out there found a non-dairy cheese that actually tastes good? I have tried several varieties and they are all really gross, totally not worth eating. Thanks!

It is a matter of personal taste, but I like the Rice cheeses - american, cheddar, mozarella and parmesan. They are not as good as dairy cheese but they are better than the fat free cheeses!! Taste good in most recipes.

follow your heart brand is delicious and will melt if you follow instructions (keeping it moist and giving it a quick broil towards the end of cooking). It is a bit pricey and i've only seen it at health food stores. Tofutti makes a delious cream cheese but be sure to use the non-hydrogenated kind. Also there is a book out there called "the ultimate uncheese cookbook" (sequel to "the uncheese cookbook" by joanne stepanick (i may be spelling that wrong) and I have found the recipies to be very good. Some common ingredients (or not so common as the case may be)that she calls for are seasame tahini, raw cashews, nutrional yeast, agar agar, and others. She is also great about listing whether a recipie is gluten free, soy free, nut free, yeast free, etc.
