Well I went into the GI with a full write up that I composed last night after the kids went to bed. I've never been to any Dr about all this even though I've had IBS symptoms since early teen years, and I didn't want to forget anything. The nurse was quite impressed with how thorough I was, which was a relief, I thought they'd think I was a nutcase. Bottom line is that there are enough red flags in my case to warrant a colonoscopy and endoscopy (from the mouth, not sure I got that term right) and soon. So I will spend Monday in the bathroom and Tuesday at 7 am will show up for the procedures. I'm not worried about the tests themselves, just a little nervous about what they will tell me. But as in all things I must leave that in God's hands and only concern myself with the things I have control over! I'm not typically a "worry wart", not going to start now! Thanks for listening.

I am so glad they are doing the test soon. I was wondering if they would make you wait a couple of weeks. I pray everything will go well and you get some answers and most importantly relief.

I had my colonoscopy last Thursday (I'm getting the results in a couple of hours--yikes!) so if you want any advice or if you have any questions, I'm here for you! I also had an upper endoscopy in college--so I can tell you more about that as well if you're interested.
Knowing what's wrong is scary--but it's also comforting! Once you know what the problem is you can begin to take action to improve the situation!
Remember we're here for you and we're thinking about you! You're very brave going to the doctor--good for you!!
Take care--and keep us posted!
