So- has anyone found if they eat less carbohydrates,- rice - potatoes- that there gas is less. I am trying to fine tune my gas afflicition- and seems to me I did better w/ less carbs????? I have followed this diet to the letter- and the medicines- and w/ eating more carbs ( the good ones recommended on this diet- )- My gas is worse than ever. Has anyone else found that to be true. Thanks- really need feedback.

I assume you have been examined to ensure nothing serious.
Have you tried Gas-Ex or equivilant. Avoid their quick dissolve on the tongue strips as they do not work well.

I don't know that I've experienced that myself, but maybe you should try substituting white rice for white bread/potatoes and see if you see an improvement. Rice is the only starch absorbed almost totally by the small intestine, so gas-producing bacteria found in the large intestine never get to break it down. Wheat and potato starches, however, are broken down by this gas-producing bacteria.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
