Acacia doses spread out vs twice a day?

I have been using the acacia powder for a little over a year and a half now and I was wondering if anyone has used the acacia spread out into small doses all day long versus just morning and night.

I take the acacia in 1/2 tsp doses. I take it when I wake up in the morning, then I take it every few hours or so, ALWAYS right before any kind of meal or snack, with the last dose at bedtime. Overall I take between 3 and 4 tsp a day. I also take my medication every 4 hours(20mg of Bentyl and a peppermint capsule).

My questions are, would it be better to take a bigger dose twice a day, or is the way I'm doing it okay?

And secondly, should I take the acacia before taking the medicines, or does it make a difference? Right now I usually take my medicine first before the acacia.

Thanks to anyone who replies!

I think spreading it out is actually ideal, as the idea is to have soluble fiber in your gut all day long. But for most of us, that's just not possible or convenient. It is recommended that you at least strive for twice a day, if not 3 times a day.

I'm not sure baout taking it before or after medicines, though. I don't take any myself. Perhaps someone else will be able to answer that.

Taking 12g of Acacia per day. Relatively stable since March 2008!

Thank you for your response, I have a large prescription bottle that I carry the acacia in for my purse. There is a 1/2 tsp measuring spoon in there so that I have it when I need it. It has been a life saver for sure!
