I hope I am not repeating a post. I searched and didn't really find the answer to my question.

I have IBS-D. I have been taking the acacia fiber 1/2 teaspoon in the morning and at night. It has made my stomach feel even worse than before. I am so bloated and gasey and I never was before except right before an attack of D. I just don't feel right.

Is this normal? I have been taking the acacia for almost 2 weeks. Should I try something else?

I didn't do to good on it either, I had more of an allergic reaction to it, and it didn't help my D, I was up to 2 teaspoons twice a day. Everybody is different though.

I just switched to Fibersure , and it's helped my D quit a bit better, but some people suffer worse bloating and or gas from the type of fiber in Fibersure (Inulin) You may be better on something like Benefiber

Also what is your diet like, have you tried cutting back to a bland diet till you stabilize?
