I have just read the message about new antibiotics which may be available in the future for IBS. This sounds wonderful, but unfortunately I cannot take anitbiotics without the threat of the dreaded Yeast Infection. Everytime I have to take an antibiotic, I have to take Diflucan tablets for a few days to ward off this problem and we all know this is not recommended as a steady diet. I wonder how many of you out there have this same problem? I know I am not alone in this and would like to hear from others who suffer as I do...so I think I will stay with the Acacia and the IBS diet. It seems to work fairly well, even tho I have setbacks if I'm not careful. Heather's recipes are delicious and I am very glad to have them.

I definitely have to take Diflucan when I take antibiotics. No matter which antibiotic I am on I always get a yeast infection. I've had to be on antibiotics on and off for the last 7 months because I am going through chemo and have a very lowered immune system. My Doctor prescribes them for me every time i even get a cold just to make sure it doesn't turn into something serious. Which I understand but hol crap I hate yeast infections!
