Tasteless Recipes

I have a problem. Every desert recipe that I made from IBS recipe board turned out tasteless. I am telling you, it's like eating baked flour, period. Does anyone know any desert recipe for cookies or muffins that taste great?

I find random recipes online (not on this site) that sound good, and substitute ingredients to make my version dairy free and egg yolk-less. They seem to turn out fine!!
For instance, for x-mas, I made some peppermint cookies. They were super delicious, and dairy free! It wasn't hard to do the substitutions at all. You can use soy milk or rice milk, soy or rice butter, canola oil or applesauce, etc., etc.

OH, and the "Ruby Jewel Bars" recipe I found on this site was reaaaaaally good! Not bland at all! Instead of making an oatmeal crust, I did a graham cracker crust, which made it way better. More crunch. So if you like cranberries, try the Ruby Jewel Bars.
