Question about cheese-less pizza?

I know cheese bothers me so at times I get cheeseless pizza, with just sauce and seasoning. Last night I had two small slices, (from a pizza place) with garlic and basil. That's it. This morning...a D attack. I know that sauce doesn't normally bother me. Do you think it was the garlic? I ate safe yesterday so it wasn't anything else.

I love pizza...I need it sometimes!

Was it a white sauce? That would be bad, but it doesn't sound like it was that. You never know with restaurant food. There could have been a lot of oil/grease in the dough or in what they cooked the garlic in.

Maybe it's the fat content in pizza...Last night friends of mine ate pizza. I took a slice and scrubbed all the topping off completely and ate 1/2 slice of though. I had pains 10 min later.

Pizza dough is VERY high fat according to a friend of mine who used to work at Uno's. He once told me I'd be shocked by the amount of oil they use in the crust. Also, I think most chain pizza restaurants use hydrogenated oils (trans fats) in their crusts, and consumption of any trans fats makes me really, really sick.

why can you have it the reflux? I make my own pizza with a small amount of ragu tomato sauce filled in a pita bread with a slice of rice motzarella cheese. Could you make that?

It could have been the fat content, or it could also have been the basil - basil is AWFUL for me. It nearly always gives me soft BMs, if not D.

Let us know how it is! I'd like to try it, if I can get it here in Canada.

Yep - basil is a D producer for me. I believe it is due to the nature of its IF.
