Your surgery will go fine. If you do have the ACL and PCL surgery, I can imagine your anguish about the 3 month thing. Try to turn a negative into a positive. Take the time to read and try out different foods, etc. Everything's gonna be alright.

IM sorry you have to go thru this....i went thru a double hernia operation(40 staples in abs) in 2001 .....didnt have ibs then but had panic disorder...i was told the recuperation was 4 weeks...im an avid runner/gym type and i thought i would die but the recuperation wasnt nearly as long and instead of running i went walking...the day following surgery infact......is it possible that after a few weeks you might be able to move around more and stand more and that the worst of it will only be the first few weeks while total recuperation is 3 months? Also, do you have to stay in bed...can you be sitting on a sofa or in a chair and perhaps also sit by the stove and cook? I understand your anxiety......hopefully it will be easier than it sounds and you will pass with flying colors.....

I'm sure you'll get through it just fine. I'm waiting for surgery too. Going to try a technique where they put in electrodes in the lower back to control the pelvic floor muscles. I have nerve damages from a paralysis condition I had as a child. I really hope this will work for me. I find all the waiting involved stressful too and not just the procedure in itself.

Be brave. I'm sure you'll be ok.

Hugs*** I am sure you will get through this fine. You are a trooper Since your fine now can you prepare some soups and cook some chicken and turkey in advance and in small serving for you? I make alot of stuff sometimes on a sunday and freeze small containers of soup and sometimes things for dinner ect. This way you can throw something in the microwave. Maybe on the weekends your hubby can run to a whole foods to get you some lunch meat to make sandwiches because that should be easy for you. Just try to focus on your health and maybe this wont be as bad as you think
