Grinding up Fennel Seeds?????

Hi Guys I have a question. I have been putting Heather's Fennel seeds in a food processor and grinding them up and brewing them into a tea. She says they are stronger crushed. So when I brew it some of the resin (particles) get through the tea strainer and into my tea. I have been drinking it and think that this resin may be causing some pain. Is it possible that these particles are IF. What does everybody think. I am nervous because I want to get the benefits of a strong tea but not get more IF.

I cannot drink ground fennel. Too much IF for me

Instead of grinding them up in a food processor, try using a pestle and mortar? Just so they're not ground up TOO finely...
