You might find some interesting information in this article. I have been following this diet for a couple of years along with Heather's EFI with good results. The article is a bit technical but the tables provide some good hints what foods to avoid. Results are usually noticed within 1-3 weeks.
If you need some more explanation I will be happy to help.
Good luck

Ok... I printed out this article... and I'm not sure if it's because it's been a long day... I am just stupid... or the article is just too technical... but what CAN be eaten? I am half way thru the antibiotics for SIBO and no change I am desperate for SOMETHING that will work!

Try avoding the things listed in Table 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8 and 9 for 1-3 weeks. I presume you avoid dairy.
Anything else you can eat Once you get the hang of it you will find it is quite simple to follow.
If you find you have less problems then you start re-introducing some those foods in moderate amounts to figure which ones give you the most problems.

All the healthy foods like rice, potatoes, chicken, fish, seafood, lean pork and most veggies -- along with less pain, bloating and gas
Good luck

and what vitamins/suppliments do you take?
what do you eat for breakfast?
is there anything sweet that can be eaten?
can you give me a sample of your typical menu for a day?

I don't take any supplements or vitamins. They give me too much gas and pain.
For breakfast I have old fashion oatmeal with banana or deseeded kiwi and 1 tbs brown sugar.
The only sweet I eat is a glucose based Indian candy called Mishri candy.
My typical daily diet is given in this message posting
I have a sweet tooth and I have endless cravings for the very sweetest things - foods that contain fructose. It is a craving I find difficult to manage. If it weren't for the gas, pain and bloating I would still be eating sweet things. Oh well
