so I have 2 bottles of peppermint caps in my cupboard that are from aaaages ago. happily I've been doing really really well and haven't needed them. I've been a little less well lately though and wanted to start taking them again... but the bottle says "best by 07/07".... should I toss them, or do you think they might still be ok? (also, I confess, I've already taken a few... should I be worried about that? haha hmm...)

thanks!

Things that don't expire for several years to start with are usually OK for another couple months. The manufactures have to make sure that they are in pristine condition at least until the expiration date so usually they actually last longer. Do the pills look, taste, or smell funny (are they more cloudy, etc.)? If not then I'd say go ahead and use them up .
